Run Lola Run (Lola Rennt): 20 Icons + 1 Header

Long time no icon post. ^^; All of this set, except for the last 6, were done back in early December so they're kind of old. I wanted to make at least 20, but I was so busy that I didn't get to whip up the rest until now. Ah, this has made me realize how much I miss making icons. I've been so absorbed with making resources that I think I forgot how to icon. *_* Also, for the first time ever, I've thrown in a header as well.

For those who have never heard of or watched Run Lola Run (aka Lola Rennt), you really should. It's a hundred shades of awesome and one of my all-time favorite films ever. :)

And here's the aforementioned header. It came rather unexpected because I wasn't planning on making one. I was just fiddling and then about 5-10 minutes later, I have this. Size: 575x300px (83kb)



The words used on the header are from quotes found in the movie and posters. Hope there's a Lola Rennt fan around here somewhere! As always, I tried to capture the film's style and feeling in the icons so I hope I managed that. :)

OMG You are kidding me! I had never heard of this movie before, till in my Media class we just started watching it! No way! Freaky stuffs.

Wonderful set! Wonderful movie. One of my favorites too, but have you seen the other movie that Twyker (the director) and Franke Patente did together called, The Princess and the Warrior? Really good movie. I don't know if there are any of those icons available, but oh well.

Yay! Another fan of the movie! I was seriously beginning to wonder if there were any, because like you- I've never seen icons of the film anywhere (except possibly the same one you might be talking about). ^^;

I haven't made wallpapers in ages! But that's a nice idea so it might eventually creep up. I'll have to find or screencap a better version of that picture though. :p

Wow, this film must get shown a lot in classes- I've got two comments on watching it in German class and now yours for Media class. :D I hope you liked the movie! :) It should be an interesting film for study, I think...

Thank you- I'm so glad you like these. <3 As for The Princess and the Warrior, I've heard so much about it throughout the years but have never found the opportunity to watch it yet. I moved to an area where obtaining access to foreign or independent films are rather hard- which makes my life miserable but that's an entirely different topic now. :p But it's definitely on my list to watch (love bot Tom Twyker and Franke Potente), so I hope that happens soon. Then icons will pop out surely. :D

Yes! - fans DO exist! In fact, I know two people IRL who are also fans (because I showed them the movie, muahaha.) The first time I saw it, I watched it three times right in a row. I was so impressed.

I only know one person IRL who's a fan...and that's my sister (we watched it together). :D And oh I know...I've seen the film loads of times and in fact, I'm itching to dig out my DVD and watch it again after joying over the fact that there were more people on LJ who like this movie than I thought. :DD

Who knew so many people loved Lola Rennt? xD It really is good once you know what going on. :)
Like some other people who've commented here, I actually saw it in German class too. =P Let me just say, it's the best movie we've seen in class ;)

Oooh...I don't know where you live, but I know what it's like to be in a place where your access to that kind of stuff is limited. But, if you're in the states, you might want to consider signing up with a service like Netflix or Blockbuster's service. I had Netflix when I lived in my limited area and it saved me. They're good about sending stuff out to you and very good about customer service. I'm dying to get a steady income so I can sign on to it again.

They're all AMAZING. I love #4, #13, #14...#17-#19...all of them! Makes me want to watch the movie too. Sounds like she does a lot of running :\
